About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and manage complex projects, or a portfolio of projects within the R&D department of Draeger’s Safety Division. Your contribution to the success of the business will be through:
- Delivering and documenting complex technical projects, in accordance with Draeger processes
- Leading and managing cross functional, cross site, multi-disciplinary project teams, within a highly regulated industry
- The responsibility and accountability for the planning and control of project budgets and resources, working closely with Controlling to provide transparency and accurate forecasting
- Effectively managing and controlling project risks and opportunities, leading the team to identify, allocate and mitigate with effective measures, reducing project and commercial risk
- Maintaining outstanding stakeholder engagement through excellent communication
- Clear and concise reporting to Project Control Boards, Sponsors and other Stakeholders
- Ensuring the effective close-out of projects and handover into lifecycle

- Working within a small PMO team which consists of Project Managers, Lifecycle Managers and Systems Engineers.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- Degree in an Engineering discipline or significate industry experience of delivering technical/engineering projects
- Relevant professional qualification in Project Management
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (desirable, although not essential)
Related Experience
- Significant demonstrable and relevant project management experience in projects with high risk, high complexity, high value characteristics
- Experience in the project management of R&D projects and project lifecycles
- Experience in accountability for project budgeting, tracking & reporting as well as forecasting of projects/programs of work
- A successful track record of exhibiting leadership and people management of cross functional teams
