About the role
The Marketing Manager MGM is responsible for driving the Draeger UK/IRE Gas Detection Strategy across the safety segments in collaboration with the Marketing Managers and Head of Marketing. They have product responsibility of Draeger Mobile Gas Management (MGM), they are also the segment expert for (Food & Beverage, Utilities). They report to the SGDS Marketing Manager in a close, collaborative environment which ensures mutual success.
- The Marketing Manager is responsible for the MGM portfolio across all safety segments in the UK & IRE. This includes optimisation of the global portfolio for the domestic market and ensuring that the local market requirement is clearly communicated via adaptation of global / regional marketing materials.
- The Marketing Manager is responsible for the local Price/Positioning of the Portfolio within the target markets. This includes the competitive positioning as well as the adaptation and development of the product differentiation message to customers, regional and global stakeholders.
- The Marketing Manager is the mobile gas detection expert and must engage meaningfully with all training provided with the understanding that they are the conduit to relay that knowledge back to the sales teams and wider organisation. They are responsible for providing support to the sales teams for the achievement of their sales targets.
- The Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of the (MGM) go-to-market strategy process in consultation with the FGDS & Gas Detection Lead marketing manager, sales managers, and the Head of Marketing for UK & IRE. They also actively participate in developing and deploying the (MGM) Segment strategy (Central Safety Strategy) for the UK, (considering global concepts) for each market segment.
- The Marketing Manager Supports long-term brand awareness, thought leadership and key opinion leader activities across the safety segments and product areas. They Drive business and competitive intelligence with regards to the area of responsibility within the global guidelines, understand future market trends and requirements and help to align strategies accordingly. This includes helping to identify suitable events to showcase products, and contributing to the event theme and strategy to achieve good lead generation.
- The Marketing Manager provides local Product management of the (MGM) portfolio, including product launches and ongoing management of the portfolio offering. They Actively contribute to the development of the global corporate strategy for the product portfolio (MGM), and based on that, derive, and execute local product marketing strategies in alignment with regional and global marketing teams.
- The Marketing Manager analyses the market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to define the portfolio strategy and shape the SGDS marketing direction, in alignment with regional and global strategies. This includes implementing a connected solutions approach which aligns with Draeger’s wider product portfolio strategy and has touch points with other Draeger connected products.
- Be an active member of the team, attending regular meetings and contributing to strategy development, to support delivery of the plan. This includes close engagement with the industry sales team, attending their sales meeting, supporting customer visits, lunch and learns and encouraging collaborative communication with the support of the SGDS Marketing Manager.
- The Marketing Manager must have a keen ear and eye for feedback from both the market and internal stakeholders, and relay those observations back to the organization in a productive manner.

Reporting Relationships
Manager - SGDS & Gas Detection Lead
Size of team/environment - Working in a team of twelve supported by a dedicated Marketing communications specialist, you will attend meetings at both Draeger offices and offsite to further the collective safety marketing strategy.

- Marketing & Product Management experience preferably in a relevant industry or Technical Safety role.
- Degree in related subject desirable.
Related Experience
· Extensive experience in a B2B Marketing role
· Experience in marketing and commercial strategy

· Experience Product Managing Technical Safety Equipment
· Experience in the safety industry
· Experience with gas detection products advantageous
