About the role

The objective of this role is to support the Sales and Marketing functions of the Medical and Safety businesses to optimise business performance utilising data and insight to inform decisions and improve processes. There is significant value in the data and insight we collect and use every day including customer feedback and interactions, information on historic sales activity and customer and competitor related market dynamics.

 

The focus on improving processes and delivering revenue generation and profit maximisation will help in the assessment of business performance and support the actions that support the Go To Market (G2M) strategy for the Medical and Safety businesses.

 

With a cross-segment remit, this role actively supports Sales, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Commercial Operations and the Commercial Controlling teams to deliver relevant insight and recommendations to continually improve the delivery and execution of tactical and strategic campaigns into the market.

 

The Sales and Marketing Analyst will lead projects that deliver Commercial Excellence and Customer Intimacy and will be expected to exemplify the WeLEAD principles with an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on delivering results.

 Commercial Excellence

  • Supports Medical and Safety organisations to deliver timely analytics that enable revenue growth from better informed decisions and metrics.
  • Develops visualisations and dashboards of Sales and Marketing data across platforms including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Adobe Analytics, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), PowerApps, PowerBI and other reporting platforms to drive behaviours, accountability, and local/regional reporting requirements.
  • Assesses the effectiveness and execution of Sales & Marketing activities and provides recommendations for further improvements based on data/analytics and sales/marketing background.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement (CI) projects for Sales and Marketing functions to improve core Sales and Marketing processes (eg DEMS, Marketing Collateral, Events and Lead processes).
  • Analyses ROI from Sales and Marketing campaign activity developing best practice for future delivery of projects that support the execution of the Go To Market (G2M) strategy.

·       Improves the data accuracy, structure and segmentation used in key Sales and Marketing databases in conjunction with commercial planning process (eg Installed Base, CRM, SAP) to augment G2M delivery and the Sales Cycle.

 

Customer Intimacy

  • Responsible for measuring, monitoring and communicating trends in Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) throughout the organisation and developing automation into new and existing customer touchpoints.
  • Enables further personalisation opportunities in Sales and Marketing activities by understanding and creating systems and platforms driven by the segmentation of customer groups in email marketing tools (Hubspot) & customer relationship management tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM).
  • Performs market and customer research in conjunction with commercial teams to better inform sales and marketing activities through the design, delivery and interpretation of insight studies.

Reporting Relationships

Manager - Business Development Manager Strategy & Insights

Size of team/environment - No direct reports, works alongside 2 Marketing Comms Specialists and a CRM Specialist / Internal Comms Manager with a dotted line into the Head of Commercial Controlling.

Your Qualifications

Education/Qualifications

·       Degree in a relevant field including Marketing, statistics, business or social science (D)

·       Data Analysis or Data Visualisation modules or qualifications (D)

Related Experience 

·       Proven analytical skills, experience with data analysis tools and platforms, and strong communication skills to report findings from market research and campaign performance. (E)

·       Experience in Healthcare / Safety markets (D)

·       Expertise using Sales CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) (D)

·       Experience applying data visualization/analytics projects Sales and Marketing environment (P)

·       Knowledge of Customer satisfaction, feedback and insight systems (P)

·       Project Management and Continuous Improvement (eg Six Sigma) (D)

Skills, Special Competencies

·       Curious and driven nature (P)

·       Expertise or strong willingness to develop storytelling and presentation skills with data stories including infographics. (P)

·       Understanding or development path for SAP Analytics Cloud,  Adobe Analytics, CRM and other analytics / visualisation platforms. (P)  

·       Six Sigma for Continuous Improvement (D)
