Responsible for developing relevant Draeger’s Safety business segment through the leadership of Business Development Managers. The position is also specifically responsible for developing business and relationships for applications within our industrial business fields across the entire product portfolio.
Strategic Planning
Develop, define & implement a clear strategy for revenue and profit growth of our business across the entire product portfolio. Support the marketing segment in the development of the strategies as part of the overall US Safety go to market plan. Examples of the business segments include Safety Consultancy, APR, and CleanTech.
Develop Key Relationships
Identify, assess, target, and actively develop relationships with influential key subject matter expert (SME) contacts at key accounts, including key technical, commercial, safety staff and any other identified business influencers to promote the entire Draeger safety portfolio for applications and portfolio.
Close and maintain direct corporate purchasing and service agreements with assigned accounts to increase sales and list Draeger products as preferred products and solutions.
Establish Value Proposition
Work closely with marketing to establish a clearly differentiated value proposition. Identify, arrange (with regional PR), attend, and lead, the necessary presentations (by any means/media) to key account SME to promote portfolio.
Selling
Actively contact and pursue customer key buying influences using our established sales processes such as Miller Heiman conceptual and solution selling. Seek out and identify target client business opportunities and develop, support and track to order closure.
Working with Others
Work closely with the US Safety Solutions Sales organization to leverage all customer relationships and portfolio to drive maximum Share of Wallet. Liaise with global & regional experts to ensure cross border capabilities are maximized as well as supporting open cross border communication on business development. Be an active member of the technical circles to exchange of information, best practice sharing, benchmarking of success and handling of customer requests.
Sales Administration
- Effectively utilizes all tools provided such as CRM, e-mail, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software, etc. and maintains accurate, up-to-date records
- Ensures expenses are controlled and justified within budgetary guidelines.
- Manages and maintains consignment and demo equipment to ensure accurate record keeping and cost-effective utilization.
- Maintains company property & equipment in good working order

Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical subject from an accredited university or the equivalent in education, training and experience.
- 5+ years of safety or business development experience.Significant end user experience with responsibility for safety.
- Member of recognized professional body for Safety CSP
- Preferred CIH
