About the role
You will be responsible for pro-actively managing the promotion of Draeger’s Medical solutions and brand awareness across the UK & Ireland, with a focus on improving reach, lead generation and enhancement of digital touchpoints.
Responsibilites include:-
- Liaison with marketing management and senior management to understand strategy, objectives, key messaging, target audiences and asset requirements for external Medical communications.
- Management of the annual communications budget.
- Creation of omnichannel campaign plans for Medical customers using the communications mix.
- Overviewing all Medical campaign activities to enhance digital touchpoints, contact management and lead generation activities where applicable.
- Managing the creation and delivery of the annual cross-divisional internal communications plan with a focus on driving employee engagement using existing sharepoint, Viva engage and Sway channels.
- Ensuring delivery of the external and internal communications plans with clear allocation of tasks and project management of the plans.
- Management of Medical CRM campaigns to ensure visibility of ROI on the Marketing Dashboards and reporting overviews when required.
- Investigating and enhancing CRM Marketing modules such as Campaigns
- Inclusion of brand awareness activities including cross segment portfolio into the marketing communications plan.
- Best practice sharing of event process, including lead generation, call to action workflows, mailing list management and PR management across the Medical and Safety divisions.
- Acting as main point of contact for European and Global Medical campaigns.
- Dissemination of corporate marketing training and guidelines to marketing specialists across UK & Ireland Medical and Safety divisions.
- Direct line management of Medical marketing specialists and provision of clear development plans to ensure upskilling of the team.
- Development of apprenticeship programme for Marketing Communications.
- Relationship management of external agencies.

Size of team/environment
- The Head of Communications role will have 2 direct reports marcomms specialists.
- The management team peers will consist of Head of Marketing, Strategy Manager, Clinical Lead and 6 sales managers, 2 BDMS and an assistant to the director.

Education/Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Related Experience
- Marketing Communication and Management experience required.
- Clear understanding of all aspects of communications mix.
- Strong communications background within medical devices is preferable.
- Previous line management experience desired.
- Proficient in CRM and communications reporting.
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Skills, Special Competencies
- Marketing Communications professional qualification.
- Team player and motivator.
- Ability to work on timed projects.
- Be able to demonstrate meeting of timelines for reporting and expenses.
- Work within allocated communications budget.
