About the role
The Head of Marketing role leads, determines, and implements the UK & Ireland mid-term and long-term marketing strategy for our medical business. This is achieved in accordance with Dräger’s global and regional business strategies and setting business goals accordingly.
- The Head of Marketing leads the local medical marketing organization:
- First line management: Leads and manages a team of 7 Modality Marketing Managers.
- Strategy Development: Responsible for the mid- to long-term growth in net sales and ongoing improvement of Global Gross Profit for the complete Dräger Medical portfolio within UK & Ireland
- Operational excellence: Support the product lifecycle and product management for all medical portfolio’s.

General expectations of the role:
- Strong leadership and day-to-day management of the Medical Marketing team; including performance management, objective setting, and personal development.
Co-ordinate with the marketing managers the localised plan for the global marketing strategies for the medical segment relevant for the UK and Ireland market. - Lead and co-ordinate the activities and campaigns for the development and implementation of the UK&I market positioning and customer segmentation, marketing mix and operational marketing plan for assigned portfolios.
- Develop and lead process for collection and consolidation of market & competitive data and maintain this ongoing.
- Support the team to manage the entire product lifecycle: drive local product launch, ensure fast ramp-up and drive local phase out activities.
- The key link for communication between local marketing and regional/global marketing teams ensuring that feedback is given to regional marketing regarding required product changes.
- Lead and collaborate with other departments on the Key Opinion Leader process in line with our local company strategy relevant to the campaigns for each portfolio area.
- Control the departmental resources and budget ensuring a ROI tool is applied to all marketing campaigns aligned to the local strategy.
- Map, track and report on the external stakeholder landscape and the views of important and influential governmental and non-governmental organisations affecting the relevant customer segments and product areas and including around the sustainability and social value agenda.
- Create and nurture key relationships with external stakeholders and influencers, accumulate feedback from key opinion leaders to drive strategy and relevant activities.

Education/Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent essential
- Leadership and management qualification desirable
- Marketing qualification desirable
Related Experience
- Relevant business experience in a senior marketing role
- Previous experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices Industry
- Previous experience in first line management of a team of people
