This role is based out of our Houston, TX facility which offers many benefits including an onsite fitness center. For on-site positions, we are conveniently located in SW Houston, near intersection of South Sam Houston Parkway West and the Fort Bend Parkway.
We are seeking a Logistics Assistant II to receive and ship products into and out of Service locations in an accurate and timely manner. These activities include product receipt, product cleaning, product testing, product stocking, product pulling, shipping, and receiving.
- Receive and ship products into and out of relevant software in an accurate and timely manner, including processing activities such as counting, scanning, data entry and product put-away and product pulling.
- Inspection of returned items to include cleaning of items and “non-repair” maintenance of returned items (Calibration testing and bump-testing of Detection devices, posi-checks of SCBA’s).
- Locate and pack customer orders for shipment. Prepare proper shipping information, hazardous material information and label accurately.
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean and organized manner to ensure that parts or inventory and can be located quickly and accurately.
- Assistance with inventory counting and stock keeping.
- Ability to travel to customer locations during implementation of projects to perform customer training.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent in education, training and experience.
Related Experience:
- Two to five years of experience in receiving/shipping/warehouse.
Special Competencies or Certifications:
- Must be able to pull/push products greater than 70 lbs. with mechanical assistance (pallet jack).
- Ability to ascend\descend tall ladders and lift product. Hazardous goods training (provided) required.
- Driver’s license required.
- Ability to operate forklift, with proper training.
- Local Safety Council Training and TWIC card required (paid by Draeger).
