Under general supervision, the Logistics Specialist III assumes a lead role in the Service Operations Logistics group.  Develops applicable measurements/metrics, administers inventory cycle count program, ensures orders are processed/shipped in a timely manner, and oversees all inventory processes for Service.  Serves as a first level escalation point person and provides guidance and support to others for daily issues, decision making and problem solving

Duties:

Develop applicable measurements/metrics (KPI’s) to monitor/control inventory and shipments within the America’s region. 

• Implement measurements necessary to achieve inventory goals/turns & on time shipment targets as outlined by Service Management

Administer inventory cycle count program, count selection, count reconciliation and KPI reporting.

Involved with all inventory processes that impact service management. 

• Including but not limited to all receiving, warehousing, shipping, returns, rework, scrapping and any other distribution center activities
• Insure work priorities are aligned with department and company objectives
• Identify problems areas and escalate as appropriate

Ensure SAP system is maintained for all service items.

• Includes functioning as the department expert/key user
• Running ad hoc reports as required
• Training new employees
• Maintaining SAP Views – OA Process
• Error Logs for Material Orders

Project work and additional responsibilities.

• In addition to above listed responsibilities the employee is expected to complete required projects at the request of  management

Assume Leadership  role and responsibilities within the Service Operations Logistics Group.

• Assist others as a go-to contact within the group for daily issues, decision making, problem solving and first escalation point 
• Act as key liaison between management and the Service Operations Logistics group  

Act as primary point of contact for Service inventory issues and problem solving which are outside the routine day to day topics.

• Seek resolutions for such issues by engaging with Supply Chain team  
• Inform and escalate to management where required
• Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or the equivalent in education, training and experience.

Related Experience:

• 5-7 years related experience managing inventory control in a retail/warehouse environment
• Experience with performance metrics preferred

Special Competencies:

Specify technical skill(s): SAP strongly preferred, Microsoft Suite experience required

Our US headquarters located north of Philadelphia in Telford, Pennsylvania is our US manufacturing site for our Neonatal product line supplying many global customers as well as production support for Draeger’s Safety products. This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.
