The Job Responsibilities

Purpose of Function

To support sales growth in the Oil & Gas sector by providing technically sound safety solutions,

engaging with clients throughout the sales cycle, and ensuring alignment between customer needs

and product offerings. The role combines technical expertise with commercial skills to drive customers.

Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Engage with Oil & Gas clients to understand safety requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, technical proposals, and compliance documents.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and basic site evaluations.
  • Follow up on leads, quotations, and tenders to ensure timely response and conversion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, service, application) to tailor solutions and pricing.
  • Maintain CRM records for sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts.
  • Assist in tender submissions and documentation required for prequalification.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and support

Additional Roles 

  • Support external sales managers during client visits, trade shows, and technical workshops.
  • Provide technical input for marketing materials or sector campaigns.
  • Conduct product training for clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence updates.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Petroleum Engineering.

Related Experience 

  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the Oil & Gas or industrial sector.
  • Hands-on knowledge of safety systems, PPE, gas detection, or industrial safety equipment is preferred.

Skills, Special Competencies, or Certifications 

  •     Good understanding of Oil & Gas processes and safety standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, API).
  •    Strong presentation and communication skills.
  •    Ability to interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and specifications.
  •  Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple opportunities.
  •   Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
  •   Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage, especially in KSA/GCC.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
