
Digital Transformation & Data Protection Manager
The Job Responsibilities
Purpose of this Function:
The Digital Transformation Manager is responsible to develop, plan and manage the implementation of Digital Transformation Initiatives within the Country and to focus on ERP Applications delivery and optimization.
is to provide, manage, and support digital solutions that enable business operations, efficiency, and innovation. It ensures secure, reliable, and scalable systems for data management, communication, and process automation. The IT function also supports strategic objectives by implementing enterprise systems, maintaining cybersecurity, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection and technology regulations. Ultimately, IT serves as a critical enabler of productivity, connectivity, and business continuity across the organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Strategical Management
- Contribute to the company’s IT strategy, aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Advise senior management on emerging technologies and digital trends that can drive business innovation.
- Promote and generate interest for the advantages of integrating digital sales & service enablement solutions into business operations and seek out potential customers.
- Lead initiatives that modernize operations through automation, cloud adoption, and system integration.
- Part of the delivery model regarding Digital Transformation roadmap within the region.
- Part of the delivery model regarding MS ERP BC roadmap within the region.
- Liaison to with partners and functions to ensure delivery of the Digital transformation roadmap at defined quality, time and budget.
- Develop business cases which support investments decision in digital transformation.
- Contribute to the IT budget, optimizing costs and investments in technology.
Operational Management
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT applications landscape including ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central).
- Is responsible to manage and support the Business Central & NAV systems
- MS ERP BC Project planning and execution, Current NAV requirements and modifications where applicable including partner coordination, change management, and prioritization.
- The role works closely with the key users, process owners and IT service manager as well as with the MS ERP Product at headquarters in Germany.
- Review and update Microsoft ERP service levels and performance (SLAs) aligning the current ERP capabilities with the organization’s strategic goals, user expectations, and industry best practices.
- Advise and consult the country regarding suitable solutions for their daily B2B challenges.
- Identify and define requirements for successful implementation of digital sales & service transformation initiatives including MS ERP Processes (NAV to BC).
- Establish strong partnership with the Regional Team throughout the digital transformation implementation projects.
- Guide employees and departments through application changes, upgrades, or new technology implementations.
- Define and monitor KPI's related to the benefit of digital transformation within the Country in terms of growth and efficiency increase.
- Monitor performance metrics and system reliability to ensure continuous improvement and business continuity.
Data Protection, Security, and Business Continuity
- Oversee the development and implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, incident response plans, and awareness programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Establish internal IT Governance and Ensure data management policies, data privacy compliance, and improve data quality across systems.
- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and systems uptime.
Additional Roles:
Act as a proxy for the IT Service Manager during Leave and ensure smooth handover of critical tasks.
Your Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is typically required.
Related Experience:
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in IT or Digital Transformation roles with proven experience in managing IT enterprise applications, B2B Integrations.
- Hands-on experience leading IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience in managing vendors, and service providers.
- Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity, and data protection regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, Saudi PDPL).
- Demonstrated ability to align technology solutions with business needs and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience as functional/technical consultant and project manager for MS Dynamics NAV and BC appreciated
- Experience in a global or multinational company with a standardized system and process landscape
Skills, Special Competencies, or Certifications
- Presentation of complex technical coherences to technical as well es non-technical target groups.
- Strong organizational personality, analytical skills and independent, yet team-oriented working style.
- Business fluent in written and spoken English.
- Initiative and the ability to multitask and work autonomously.
- Strong understanding of business needs and ERP Systems (SAP, MS BC) processes in a Sales & Service subsidiary with the ability to act as a consultant to the business.
- Project management skills with experience in leading IT initiatives (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certified)
- Cybersecurity knowledge including risk management, data protection, and incident response (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
