About the role
1. Co-ordinate & direct the activities of a small team in within the Medical Repairs Workshop.
2. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality repairs & maintenance of customer equipment returned to the workshop for investigation and repair.
3. Meet customer expectations for repair of products returned to the workshop, ensuring all repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
4. Carry out Service / Repairs and pre-installation commissioning on a wide range of Draeger equipment.
5. Ensure completion of all mandatory technical processes relating to repairs as detailed in test certificates and service manuals.
6. Correct input of all data into test certificates / calibration certificates / databases.
7. Creation of technical repair reports as required by the customer.
8. Communicate with customers as and when required.
9. Ensure completion of all service orders to ensure accurate quotation and invoice creation.
10. Ensure material requirements are entered onto service orders accurately.
11. Monitor stock of spares to ensure levels do not exceed individual targets, and to maintain stock accuracy.
12. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements within the workshop always.
13. Ensure housekeeping is always maintained to a high standard.
14. Facilitate and organise initiatives with a view to improve workshop efficiency and safety.
15. Ensure adherence to COSHH requirements within workshop.
16. Create/update risk assessments for individual tasks within the workshop.
17. Address personnel & process issues as they occur.
18. Ensure safe handling of compressed gas cylinders.
19. Flexible approach to other repair orientated tasks as required.
20. Assist with Field Service tasks as agreed with Engineering Supervisor.
21. Create monthly KPI reports to enable performance monitoring.

Reporting Relationships
Manager - Engineering Supervisor
Size of team/environment - Working as a team of four with line manager responsibility for the other three Repair Technicians, working in the Service & Repair workshop
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- HNC, Degree or equivalent in engineering related subjects
Related Experience
- A minimum of 5 years working within an electronic repairs/service environment, preferably with medical equipment.
- Supervisory / managerial experience is required.
Skills, Special Competencies
- A proven track record of providing customer care within a service industry.
- Ability to organise and prioritise day-to-day activities.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge MS Office applications.
- Customer focused with a positive attitude towards solving customer problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written & verbally.
- Full clean driving license.
