The Job Responsibilities

Draeger Medical Systems, Inc., Telford, PA seeks Director North America Safety Operations - Managing operations performance with regards to product quality, cost, and delivery. Improving operational systems, processes, and policies in operations with regards to information flow and reporting, business processes and organizational planning to fulfil customers’ demands in time, quality and budget utilizing of SAP, AfO, MS Office and SQL to perform data analysis and reporting. Change management and continuous improvement with customer focus in close cooperation with regional and global interfaces to all related functions. Contributing to the evaluation and development of Global Supply Chain strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team. Planning, developing, and implementing regional operations business plans to meet agreed organizational performance with regards to budget, costs, assets, production and facility planning, and resource planning. Contributing to the development and improvements of Draeger process organization in fields of automation, scripting/PLC programming, technical drawing, testing, process implementation, verification, FMEA and risk analysis. Working in a multi-stage chemical manufacturing and engineering environment, (as Anaesthesia filtering media production), monitoring and assuming responsibility for KPIs relating to Operations KPIs for production, quality, direct & indirect labour efficiency and costs, rework, scrap, and delivery. Performing Pac/Xam diagnostics, testing, manufacture focused on continuous improvement and successful implementation of Lean Manufacturing programs and initiatives including cellular manufacturing, TPM, SPC, Kaizen, Target Costing, Kanban, and process analysis. Global Supply Chain management fostering an organizational culture focused on operational excellence by driving and managing continuous improvement initiatives and projects; supports related initiatives across areas of engineering, quality, (COPQ) distribution, transportation, communication & information handling, and safety to deliver maximum customer values. Supporting new product introductions and implementation of new and improved production technologies, test systems, tools & equipment, IT-tools in compliance with all legal and internal regulations in chemical identification analyzers manufacturing environment, including contamination free manufacture and high-speed nonwoven material manufacturing and packaging environment. Perform international project teams management and support, motivating, and developing directly reporting staff with talent acquisition, development and retention through mentoring, coaching, and performance measurement. Ensuring that all Company employment relations policies and procedures are implemented at all times, demonstrating a pragmatic, hands-on approach to leadership. Assuming responsibility for cost-center and project budgets. Complying with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimizing any impact on the environment whilst carrying out duties.  Will travel 5% US and/or Int’l for project & strategy meetings.

Your Qualifications

Requires two (2) yrs. experience in job offered or related occupation. Experience must have included Performing Automation, Scripting/PLC programming, technical drawing, Testing, Implementation, Verification, FMEA and Risk analysis; Working in a change management and   continuous improvement environment with customer focus; Global Supply Chain management; Working in a high-speed nonwoven material manufacturing and packaging environment as it relates to Filtering Facepiece Respirators; Working in a Multi-stage chemical manufacturing and engineering environment, including Anesthesia supply; Performing Pac/Xam diagnostics and testing; and Working in a Chemical identification Analyzers manufacturing environment, including contamination free manufacture.
