The Product Business Development Manager is a remote position (must live in the US) covering the North America region.
The Product Business Development Manager is responsible for the key portfolio of Mobile and Fixed Gas Detection connected products and software solutions duties include strategic positioning, pricing excellence, lifecycle management, and product launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for growth of this key portfolio of safety products through the identification, evaluation, development of key client relationships and business opportunities for order generation.
- Collaborate with Marketing leadership to establish methodology to monitor customer needs, market trends and product lifecycle feedback to differentiate us from the competition and grow market share.
- Integrate with the global organization to leverage strong relationships and build solid support and involvement for the region.
- Serve as product expert and champion – performing gap analysis of product portfolio: including in-depth portfolio analysis and application profiles and opportunities.
- Align with segment marketing lead to build business cases and forecast market evolution and future product trends.
- Develop sales tools such as Total Cost of Ownership analysis and Competitive Comparison Tools.
- Complete ownership of the assigned product portfolio.
- Actively support sales and service to drive regional net sales and profit of the assigned product portfolio within the region.
- Develop and implement regional (North America) product sales and marketing strategy for assigned portfolio of safety products across multiple applications in accordance with global and regional strategy.
- Provide input for the global product portfolio and safety application strategy.
- Operational marketing, pre-sales, sales and post-sales service support for assigned key application fields.
Your Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in a business related, computer engineering or electronics engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of Product/Marketing Management and/or engineering experience (preference for both)
- Strong planning, project management and execution skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong business and analytical acumen
- Comprehensive knowledge in the conception and implementation of product launches in a B2B environment
- Must be able to travel up to 30% (by air and car)
- Must be able to lift equipment which can weigh up to 25 pounds
