The Quality Technician II is responsible for assuring that inspection, measuring, and test equipment used in the design and manufacture of medical devices is properly controlled, calibrated, inspected, checked and maintained in accordance with the Quality System, FDA Regulation and applicable ISO Standards.
- Perform, coordinate, document, and file calibration documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in calibration procedure review for new and released equipment.
- Assist in qualifying external calibration service providers. Review, approve, and maintain calibration records from calibration service providers.
- This position is responsible for assuring that inspection, measuring, and test equipment used in the design and manufacture of medical devices is properly controlled, calibrated, inspected, checked and maintained in accordance with the Quality System, FDA Regulation and applicable ISO Standards. Manage the filing, database, and offsite storage of calibration records. Maintains the record storage location and database for fast and efficient retrieval of these records.
- Sets up calibration standards and required equipment to calibrate inspection, measuring and test equipment.
- Works closely with purchasing, production support, and suppliers to continually reduce equipment downtime, maintenance, and calibration costs.
- Ensures that inspection, measuring, and test equipment is quarantined when it is found out of tolerance and/or out of compliance.
- Support and facilitate the investigation of out-of-tolerance inspection, measuring and test equipment.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
High School or equivalent; Completion of technical school program in electronics, or equivalent on the job training.
Related Experience:
Three (3) – 5 (Five) years related experience.
- Working in a manufacturing environment
- Working with measuring and test equipment
- Working with external vendors (preferably: calibration service providers)
Special Competencies or Certifications:
- Ability to read prints, schematics, drawings, and procedures.
- Familiar with ISO17025:2017 – General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
- Good time management and planning skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
Work Environment / Conditions:
- Able to sit, stand, and/or stoop for extended periods of time
- Must apply continuous mental/visual eye-hand coordination and concentration over long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds; heavier objects at times

Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions. Our North America headquarters is located in Telford, PA just north of Philadelphia. We also have US sites in Andover, MA, and Houston, TX. Our Canada site is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
The design, development and manufacturing of Draeger’s Patient Monitoring product line takes place in our Andover, Massachusetts location.
