The Logistics Assistant III will:
- Verify material matches shipping documents prior to packaging (verifying material part numbers, serial numbers, etc. match documents provided with material.)
- Enter, look-up, and verify data utilizing SAP computer applications.
- Verify proper shipping documents are present with material being shipped.
- Research shipping information using SAP and other computer applications as required.
- Complete packaging of material according to established packaging methods.
- Verify all required labeling is present on packages.
- ·Basic computer skills required (MS Office)
- Complete all shipping duties in a timely and accurate manor.
- Adhere to daily schedules, key performance indicators, departmental and company goals.
- Follow specific procedures and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Use of Hydraulic lifts to aid in packing product.
- Use of battery-operated drivers for loading shipments, moving completed products, and shipping supplies.
- Responsible for the orderly appearance of the Shipping area and related material storage areas following 5S guidelines.
- Responsible for reviewing, ordering, and maintaining a readily available supply of all the required packing materials for the department.
- Ensure all equipment used for packing are in good working condition. Contact production manager if repairs or replacements are needed.
- Maintain an audit ready work area & ability to answers questions from an auditor.
- Provide training and direction for team members in proper techniques and workmanship standards for the shipping.
- Assist team members with other material shipping duties as required.
- Participate in company sponsored training, continuous improvement, departmental training activity, and attend educational seminars as required.
- Flexibility & willingness to work in production assembly, as needed.
- Ability to work OT if needed.
- Strong communication skills and able to work with production and order management on scheduling.
- Manage workload & work with Production Manger on recovery plans.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or the equivalent in education, training, and experience.
Related Experience:
5 + years of experience in receiving / shipping / warehouse functions.
Special Competencies or Certifications:
- Must demonstrate training and mentoring abilities for other team members.
- SAP & shipping applications experience required
- Shipping experience required
- Must be able to closely follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively articulate and communicate information to co-workers and support personnel.
- Ability to work independently
- Must be customer focused
Work Environment / Conditions:

• Ability to work safely around open mechanical and electrical devices.
• Ability to safely use chemicals (e.g., cleaners, solvents, disinfectants, adhesives, epoxies, lubricants, gases).
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach within arm’s length.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions. Our North America headquarters is located in Telford, PA just north of Philadelphia. We also have US sites in Andover, MA, and Houston, TX. Our Canada site is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
Our US headquarters located north of Philadelphia in Telford, Pennsylvania is our US manufacturing site for our Neonatal product line supplying many global customers as well as production support for Draeger’s Safety products. This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.
