About the role

The Marketing Specialist is a dual role responsible for organising, running and supporting all cross-segment marketing activity in the UK for Fire, Defence and Security, Mining and Tunnelling, Draeger Marine and Offshore business and Draeger Hire business sectors.

This includes, but is not limited to, marketing communications planning and implementation of multichannel plan, including events management, PR, digital activity, translation and approval management, print & print logistics, tool support, online surveys, photo & video shooting, merchandising and office management tasks.

They liaise with, and support, the regional and local marketing team including the communication team, marketing managers and other local functions where required.

  • All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.
  • Ensure compliance to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise the impact on the environment
  •  In collaboration with the Marketing Managers, create marketing plans, contribute with ideas and help drive the implementation of the multichannel marketing plans.
  • Work with the Marketing Managers on communications strategy and plans for new product introductions.
  • Manage the cross-segment marketing budget as agreed with Marketing Managers.
  •  Manages relationships with external creative agencies and consultants.
  • Events management – organise internal and external events as appropriate and the communications surrounding those events. Follow up lead generation, reporting and ROI. 
  • To produce clear ROI reporting for all scheduled activity.
  • Digital activity including website, social media and e-shots (via tools available) as defined in the marketing plans 
  • Obtaining necessary consent and providing final approval on all marketing collateral.
  • Development of press releases and case studies working with PR Partner.
  • Print / Print Logistics and merchandising: manage and continuously improve local print processes and optimize local print and merchandising stock.
  • Tool Support - manage the maintenance of the global, regional and local tools such as Media Asset Management, Marketing Plan and others.
  • Approval Management - ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ensure availability of all approval records, in accordance with the local approval process.
  •  Webinars - organise the logistics around webinars and ensure reporting is done and distributed to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Online Surveys - organise and implement online surveys as appropriate and ensure reporting is completed and distributed to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Photo & Video - organise photo and video shoots and ensure material is made available to the global marketing teams via Zonza   
  • Support the local Marketing team in all aspects of office management and administration (e.g. processing orders & invoices, meeting preparation etc.)
  • Actively participate in developing and improving global procedures and tools, and provide feedback to Marketing Operations & Services

Size of team/environment

  • Working across multiple divisions and sectors, the successful candidate will work alongside the wider Draeger Safety marketing team and will report to various managers as required by the demands of the business.

 

Your Qualifications

 

 Role Requirements

Education/Qualifications

  • Degree education in a Marketing or business discipline preferred or relevant work experience.
  • Preferable: CIM professional qualification

Related Experience 

  •  Preferable: Work experience in a company’s communication department or in an advertising agency
  •  Preferable: Broad experience in the conception and execution of communication measures in the B2B-area.
  • Preferable: Broad knowhow in conception and management of digital communication measures
  • Preferable: Experience in B2C marketing communications
  • Preferable: Knowledge of working in an Emergency & Rescue Environment
  • Preferable: Knowledge / awareness of Oil and Gas and Marine Sector
  •  Preferable: Experience working with third party PR agencies

Skills, Special Competencies

  • IT knowledge: MS Office / CRM
  • Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere Pro
