About the role
- Be a key member of new product development project teams, coordinating with the design engineers and Suppliers on new parts and assemblies to ensure adherence to project timescales and targets.
- Ensure Suppliers are using the latest Quality tools and techniques to confirm parts are delivered to Draeger are right first time, all the time.
- Certify that the chosen Suppliers have the competence to produce the parts to the agreed specifications and drawings for the lifetime of Draeger products.
- Confirm Suppliers carry out the acceptance processes (APQP, PPAP, FAI) to the agreed standards.
- Perform Quality Audits on new and existing Suppliers.
- Liaise with the Purchasing and SQA team to ensure smooth handover of parts and material to serial production

Size of team/environment
- Working within a close team of 7 quality personnel, with a focus on quality deliverables and supplier development during the New Product Development Phases.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- HND or Equivalent as a minimum in an Engineering discipline (Degree desirable)
Related Experience
- Experience in a Quality role, preferably in supplier development
- Regular use of APQP and PPAP would be desirable
- A thorough understanding of Engineering drawings & specifications
- Experienced in performing Supplier Process Audits
- Experience in New Product Introduction Process
Skills, Special Competencies
- IT Literate – Microsoft packages, SAP experience preferred but not essential
- Prepared to travel as required (UK & Abroad)
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Must be self- motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
- Good team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
