This role is based out of our Telford, PA facility which offers its employees beautiful walking trails, onsite fitness center with yoga and fitness training classes, self-service café with a large indoor/outdoor gathering space, and a state-of-the-art Design Center. Telford is our US manufacturing site for the Neonatal product line as well as production support for Dräger’s Safety products. This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.

Acts as a technical trainer on various modalities/pieces of equipment/product lines to create and provide training to repair technicians on the operation, repair and maintenance of Company products. Training content is developed from technical documentation and consulting with technical experts. Training is delivered to end-users, distributors, Independent Service Organizations and Draeger employees.

Deliver Effective Training: With a professional attitude and appearance, and a high level of motivation and initiative, the instructor delivers technical training and transfers knowledge to the seminar participants. Seminar participants may include other employees and customers with seminars conducted at the company facilities or off-site locations, as needed. Serves as a resource for technical specifications and an as an expert communicator for delivery of information related to the technical applications of the products.   Seminars may include a variety of digital training methods that are becoming more and more common.

Assure Participant Learning: During each seminar, identifies different learning needs of participants and adjusts the teaching methodology to enhance the learning environment as required.   Proctors exams and other tools that measure the knowledge gained by participants.

Training Administration: Assists with the planning and development of Seminar schedules, workloads, registration, and administrative documentation.

Technical Expert/Resource: Reviews service documentation releases from Product Managers/other stakeholders and incorporates information and the practical application into the seminar content as deemed necessary. As required, is a resource for new hire onboarding providing information/ad-hoc training.

Content Development: Researches and Develops basic seminar content from technical documentation, information provided from company directives and through consultation with R & D and product stakeholders. Development is conducted in compliance with company process and procedures and/or work instructions. Assures course development processes, standards and content adhere to and are in line with the relevant accrediting guidelines where applicable for continuing education credits.

Training Needs Analysis: Conducts basic needs analysis for training, develops learning outcomes, course content outlines, presentations, and testing mechanisms and reviews seminar feedback; makes applicable revisions as necessary to ensure content contains appropriate information to enable the student to fulfill their responsibilities for providing service on the equipment.  

Special Projects: Works on special projects as required.

Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Your Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technologies (or a related discipline) or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Related Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical or field support role and/or implementations of products.

Special Competencies or Certifications:

  • Must have experience and strong presentation skills and have training competencies.
  • Proven technical skills on relevant modalities or a demonstrates aptitude for learning new technologies and/or instructing others with superior communication skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency with desktop applications and experience with more advanced digital training programs.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a high degree of originality and problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions and answer questions decisively and completely.
  • Demonstrated proficiency servicing Draeger products (company specific) and IT certifications/training may be required for certain products.

Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions. Our North America headquarters is located in Telford, PA just north of Philadelphia. We also have US sites in Andover, MA, and Houston, TX. Our Canada site is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
