The Account Manager is responsible for selling anesthesia and monitoring devices and products in Ontario, with annual sales achievement targets which must be met. He or she serves as the interface between Dräger Medical and our customers. The successful candidate must reside in the province of Ontario.  

Main Accountabilities:

  • Represent Dräger to the account at all levels, including the achievement of sales goals in line with company policy and business objectives 
  • Represent the account within Dräger Medical including the coordination of problem solving issues for the customer regarding quoting, order confirmation, invoicing, delivery, training and service requirement 
  • Required to take the lead in the Request for Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Maintain CRM sales funnel, opportunity identification and strategy
  • Manage clinical trials and installations
  • Manage demonstrations and evaluations, including timing and equipment specification
  • Conduct various market communication activities
  • Follow the levels of authorization in providing discounts/pricing
  • Plan, organize and attend customer visits

Your Qualifications

Education:

  • Nursing Degree or Respiratory Therapist Degree or Diploma or relevant clinical background

 

Related Experience:

  • 3 years minimum of working experience in medical sales or a medical sales associated role, preferably in anesthesia and/or peri-operative monitoring, and/or ventilation  
  • Prior experience in direct patient care as a Registered Respiratory Specialist is preferred.

 

Special Competencies/Certifications:

  • Established track record of success in sales.
  • IT Network understanding is definitely an asset.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers and other company personnel.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Able to deal professionally and courteously with all internal and/or external contacts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe
  • Bilingual, French and English skills would be an asset
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Valid international travel documents

 

Working Conditions:

  • This is deemed to be a Safety Sensitive position, where performance limitations (due to substance use, for example) could result in an incident or situation with the potential for high consequences. Therefore, you may be subject to post-employment drug or alcohol screenings, for example, prior to performing work at customer sites. 
  • Required to travel 50 to 60% of time to customer sites, mostly Hospitals and Clinics within the assigned territory
  • Regional, National and International travel required
  • Office work
