The purpose of this position is to generate profitable sales equal to or greater than our annual sales goals/commitments while satisfying the needs of our customers better than our competition.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for building the relevant Draeger business in the assigned geographic territory or assigned business scope through new business development with identified target customers and growing the base with existing customers.

 

 

  • Identifies potential target end-users & prioritizes accounts and opportunities to produce the best results using both direct and indirect sales channels and strategies.
  • Builds a strong distributor network that is aligned with the company’s distributor & vertical market strategy designed to maximize Draeger sales & profits.
  • Maintains a high awareness of market trends and the competition, their strengths, weaknesses, sales and marketing methods & shares this information with internal stakeholders.
  • Develops an annual sales plan and applies time & territory management techniques to maximize productivity & plans sales activities 30-60 days in advance.

Adhere to all company import compliance and export compliance Work Instructions, Policies and Procedures.

 

Your Qualifications

Education: 

  • BA in business or technical related discipline from an accredited university.  In lieu of education, 5-10+ years working in a similar position.
  • In specific segments, industry, government or military experience may substitute if the experience is directly relevant to the product and it’s sale or procurement (e.g. Military procurement officer in a Government product segment.)

Related Experience:  5+ years selling to similar customers or relevant experience in specific segments. 

Special Competencies or Certifications: 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Must be able to perform routine arithmetic calculations and have a complete understanding of pricing structures and gross margin.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, including in writing, to articulate company and product information to customer.
  • Operate computer, office equipment

Must be able to understand the technical aspects of our products and their applications.

In North America, Draeger employees over 1,400 employees working in our major sites in the United States and Canada (in the US:  Andover, MA; Telford, PA; Houston / Coppell, TX, and in Canada:  Mississauga, ON), including our Sales and Service workforce employees from coast to coast.

Our field based Sales and Service workforce is located across the nation, caring for relationships with our customers in the delivery of Draeger’s exceptional portfolio of products and solutions.
