The Job Responsibilities

Provides technical sales support during pre sales activities for the assigned solution set. This includes detailing specific DI technical specifications, review of customer network infrastructure and requirements planning, preperation of technical quotes to support sales team, customer meetings and consultation regarding technical requirements, deployment, and configuration, assisting sales team with update and upgrade planning quotations.  Assists the technical implementation team during project turnover and implementation through documentation of the sales process, assisting the sales team with ongoing customer support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Support Pre Sales Activity for Enterprise Patient Monitoring Sales Opportunties

  • Lead/Support the discussions with techincal customer related to Networking, Interface/Integration, Cyber Security, and other related topics
  • Support the design of the solution and the preperation of the customer offering/quotation(s)
  • Research solutions that can add value to the Draeger offering and work with marketing and/or the customer to “solution” the item
  • Creates documentation, equipment floor drawings and workflow drawings using Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD to support pre-sales discussions and implementation
  • Assists in discussions with C-Suite, Clinicians, Nurse Managers, Biomed, and IT teams
  • Work alongside Clinical Sales Specialist to understand clinical and workflow needs as it relates to a solution
  • Speak to complex wired and wireless network architecture and design practices as they relate to Draeger’s OneNet strategy and a Hospital environment


Provide Support for Post Sales Implementation turnover and installation

  • Provide the technical turnover details of the sold solution and technical expectations
  • Develop specific solutions in collaboration with Professional Services and Solution Architect that meet customer requirements
  • Participate in the Project Implemetation team process as required


Support Ongoing customer care, migration, and DI product integration efforts

  •  Support customer offerings to capture all associated costs (hardware, software, labor, training etc) that can be missed in the sales process.
  •  Support ongoing discussions with customers to add additional functionality to the exsiting installed base
  •  Work with Wireless Network Validation Committee to discuss upcoming customer validations, site survey results, and vendor limitations
  • Engage in discussions as part of the Security Assessment Committee, answering questions on routine security questionnaires with the help of the Global Security and Regional Marketing teams


Work with Marketing to build and maintain appropriate sales tools

  • Provide feedback on technical trends in the market (security, access, networking etc) to the marketing team for design or posititioning considerations
  • Provide input and support the development of Sales tools including but not limited to internal training modules, product specific technical training and general IT competencies.


Support Cross modality and workspace sales efforts

  • Work with cross modality sales teams to advise and assist in sales efforts that result in the delivery of integrated DI and third party technologies
  • Work as part of IDN and Government sales teams as required
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.





Your Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent combination of Education, training & experience.  MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification preferred.

Related Experience:

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Draeger Infinity Monitoring/IT systems support, maintenance or implementations or comparable external experience.

Special Competencies or Certifications:

  • Understanding and experience with Networking, Interfaces, and Microsoft products
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of medical facility personnel, including IT departments, Biomed departments, and CIOs
  • Able to effectively interact with Project Management, Sales, and other Service operations to achieve common goals; regarded by managers as a someone who they can delegate to with confidence
  • Demonstrates understanding of company objectives and acts in a manner consistent with those objectives
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism with customer and with colleagues; regarded as a role model
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills
  • Demonstrates strong work planning skills
  • Ability to work in a remote environment and travel as needed
